About Diovandi
A mechatronics engineer shaped by aerospace design, student rocketry, hands-on manufacturing, teaching, and computational tools.
I am Diovandi Basheera Putra, a final-year Mechanical Engineering student in the Mechatronics concentration at Swiss German University. My work sits between physical systems and computation: mechanical design, robotics, automation, aerospace systems, optimization, and AI-enabled engineering workflows.
Before SGU, I studied Aerospace Engineering at TU Delft and worked with Delft Aerospace Rocket Engineering. That period taught me to think at both the component and program level—from load cases, wing structures, and morphing-airfoil analysis to launch communications, sponsor obligations, and executive-board decisions for a 200+ member technical society.
At SGU, I returned to hands-on mechatronics and connected it to software. I have built ROS 2 navigation systems, motor-control simulations, CAD-integrated analysis tools, manufacturing and reverse-engineering projects, and AI-assisted document workflows. As a teaching assistant, I also help students move from equations and lab instructions to systems that actually work.
The thread connecting these projects is practical systems thinking: understand the physics, make the assumptions visible, build a usable implementation, and leave behind evidence that someone else can inspect.
