EproSafe Battery Protection Box Redesign

Deutscher Akkuservice / EproSafe Mechanical Engineering Intern

CAD changes to improve locking, latching, and vertical stacking for fire-resistant battery protection units.

At Deutscher Akkuservice in Münster, I worked on mechanical changes for EproSafe fire-resistant battery protection boxes.

One task integrated the lock and latch functions into a revised door mechanism, reducing the number of disconnected actions in the closure. A second task developed a stacked mounting arrangement so multiple units could be stored vertically and secured as a system.

The design work required attention to packaging, access, interference, assembly sequence, load paths, and how a mechanism would be operated outside the CAD environment. It strengthened the practical side of my mechanical-design work: small interface decisions often determine whether a concept is safe, serviceable, and manufacturable.

The detailed CAD and company documentation are not public. This page records the problem scope and my role without publishing proprietary geometry.
